RiceUp Farmers is a social enterprise that helps farmers to find more ways to be sustainable. With the help of partners we created the RiceUp Farm School, a three month course that trains farmers in business, agriculture, tech, and finance. We are also creating a direct connection with the consumers using the RiceUp Mobile App.
RiceUp currently operates in Floridablanca and Gutad, Pampanga, and areas in Paquibato, Davao, We are expanding to more areas in Northern Luzon and Davao in early 2019.
Along with rice, our farmers plant different high value crops to sell. Our mobile app however is currently only selling rice. We are looking forward to giving more and producing more crops for the market.
Farmers who have graduated the three-month RiceUp farm school program will be eligible to sign up and sell products on the Mobile App. Farm school programs are currently in areas of Pampanga and Davao, and will be expanding to more areas this year. You can download the app here .
We would love for you to be a part of RiceUp. There are many ways that you can help. You can look at our donating options here, or contact us here to volunteer skills in content creation and writing, digital marketing, graphic design, app development, videography, or social work/education. We are based in the areas of Hawaii, USA, and Pampanga, Philippines.
Many of our RiceUp Team members are undergrad students based in Hawaii, with several volunteer, part-time, and full-time workers in the Philippines. Responsibilities can range from discussing business opportunites with partners, to driving a fellow team member to an event.
